Warehouse Sale: Rösslers 60s Revival: Dessertteller -20 %

6 pieces(s) left

I am particularly proud to be able to introduce you to an absolute cult classic today! As part of its retro collection, 'Rössler Porzellan' - incidentally the last original Swiss porcelain factory - has also revived its 'Carona' collection, which dates back to the 1960s and was out of stock for a long time. It is highly coveted among collectors and I can well understand that, because the shapes and colors of this tableware series are to die for.

In the mid-sixties, 'Carona' came onto the market in fresh pastel colors just in time for spring and enjoyed great popularity. As it was made of particularly thick porcelain, it was considered 'indestructible', which I can understand when I think back to my grandparents' fine Sunday crockery with a gold rim.

There is a reason for the thickness - and this is part of the secret of 'Carona's' success: 'Rössler' was the first Swiss company to produce tableware using the single-firing process. This meant that the porcelain only had to be fired once instead of twice, but at very high temperatures. This was much cheaper to produce and also made the tableware more robust and therefore more practical.

In the past, many families bought a 'Carona' service as a second set of tableware and used it for everyday use or in the chalet in the mountains.

Today, I have cups, saucers and entire sets in my online store. In fresh mint or bold yellow.
