Yield Dot adds a distinctive touch and, like Yield, is based on a two-color basic design. It is complemented by a third colored yarn, which is woven in using the Lancé technique. This distinctive weaving technique creates small, visible dots on the front of the rug, while longer floats appear on the back. The spacing between the dots is uniform, while their number varies depending on the rug’s size. In Yield Dot, only natural-colored wool yarns are used for both the warp and weft in all colorways.
The wool used for the warp consists of a blend of different shades resulting from the natural color variations of the sheep. These are complemented by a selection of natural and dyed shades in the weft. The combination of robust, resilient wool fibers and a durable construction ensures high durability and a long lifespan for the rugs.
For rectangular rugs, the short sides can be finished with either 3 cm-long fringes or a two-tone, handcrafted hem that is color-coordinated with the rug. The long sides are edged with a selvedge binding.
