UK-MC001 Carpet from MAANA STUDIOS

The finest and incomparable carpet quality. Inspired by the Berber rugs of the Beni Ourain region in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, Ultimate Knotted rugs are traditionally knotted from natural new wool with great craftsmanship.

These rugs are characterized by their ultimate softness and exceptionally high knot density. An Ultimate Knotted rug can be passed down through generations. The natural sheep's wool, enriched with its essential oils, makes the rugs particularly easy to care for and dirt-repellent. Children and pets love wool rugs, and even the most stubborn stains are easy to remove.

The carefully crafted, undyed virgin wool blends seamlessly into any interior and matches a variety of floor coverings. Whether light or dark parquet and wooden floors, concrete or other surfaces, natural wool harmonizes with all of them.

Renowned designers such as Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright and Eames have integrated Beni Ourain rugs into their work, contributing significantly to their popularity in Western living spaces since the 1950s.

Care instructions

Our rugs are all very easy to care for and robust. Natural wool has a high fat content (wool fat lanolin) and therefore has a dirt and water-repellent effect. Regular vacuum cleaning is enough to keep your carpet fresh and clean. Just make sure that you do not use a vacuum cleaner with a beater bar or rotating brush, which could damage the fibers of the carpet. During the first few days, some excess wool may come out of your rug. This is normal and there is no need to worry. Repeated vacuuming will also remedy this. Small, superficial stains can be treated with a clean, undyed cloth, lukewarm water and natural soap. Please refrain from using chemical cleaning agents, as these attack the natural protective layer of the wool and can lead to irreversible discoloration and hardening. For larger, more stubborn stains
