'Hommage' by Atelier Oï is an ode to the roller shutter furniture of Trix and Robert Haussmann. The reinterpretation as a sideboard is a true masterpiece of form, function and charisma.
What I instantly fell in love with is the actual shutter. It's an element that fascinates me quite a bit. Like a well thought out architectural model, the individual rows stack up and come together to form a beautiful and timeless piece of furniture. In the rhythm of the forms, one catches a glimpse here and there, which gives 'Hommage' a large portion of lightness.
In the capable Swiss manufactory of 'Röthlisberger', the design is brought to life and made into a long-lasting shelf with high-quality materials and careful craftsmanship.
