The Eames Lounge Chair is one of the most famous furniture designs of the 20th century. Created by the designer couple Charles and Ray Eames, their aim was to create an elegant armchair with maximum comfort - and they succeeded in doing just that.
The Lounge Chair is the modern interpretation of the classic English club chair. Curved wooden shells, gentle lines, soft upholstery and incomparable seating comfort make it a timeless classic that Vitra continues to manufacture to perfection to this day.
The cult chair is now available with even more options for personalization and in a more sustainable version. There is a choice of six veneer variants for the wooden shells, all of which - with the exception of rosewood - come from Europe. The layers of the veneers have also been reworked and treated with a water-based varnish. The leather is purely vegetable-tanned and available in an extended range of colors. The leather can be easily removed for cleaning or changing.
