Equatore: a contemporary reinterpretation of classic luminaires with glass shades. While in traditional floor lamps the light source is housed in the diffuser, in this luminaire family the diffuser is paradoxically and impressively empty. The lighting effect comes from two internal light disks behind a horizontal metal strip visible on the lampshade and reminiscent of the equator. The light generated by the LEDs spreads evenly over the surfaces of the discs thanks to internal shields attached in layers, magically illuminating them.
The lower pane produces a downward light emission, the upper pane illuminates the glass dome for a soft diffuse light distribution. Available as a table, floor and pendant luminaire, in two sizes and in two color combinations: a cooler, grey one with a dark chrome structure, and a warmer one with a taupe-colored, transparent glass dome and copper-colored structure.
Equatore acquires a completely new 'oversize' dimension in its pendant version: 48 cm after the previous 24 and 36 cm versions. With its new dimensions and the type of light it emits - inclusive and open - it moves from a domestic setting to a public one, from the living room to the large lounge.
