Empatia combines hand-blown glass craftsmanship with innovative LED technology from Artemide. When developing the product family, Artemide worked together with masters of Venetian glass art to create an innovative balance between surface and light from the expressive potential and plasticity of the material. The result is light objects with a clear, pure design language. At the heart of the luminaire is a high-performance LED, which is thermally decoupled from the glass body to enhance the light output. The light is guided to the glass diffuser through a transparent polycarbonate rod with an extremely low absorption coefficient and maximum efficiency.
