Empatia Sospensione from Artemide

Empatia is inspired by the link between the great glassblowing tradition and Artemide's LED technology. The great interest in the expressive possibilities of this material led to the collaboration with master glassblowers to fully master the particular complement of Venetian glass and to work on the balance between surface and light, between subtle densities and transparencies. The result is clear, pure handcrafted objects, each one unique in every respect. Transparency and opacity are carefully dosed to obtain a glass that reflects the light without dazzling and without losing efficiency. It is therefore an optical device whose heart is a high-power LED-based light engine, manufactured separately from the glass emitter to achieve greater thermal efficiency and performance. The light is controlled with maximum yield and directed to the glass diffuser through a transparent tube with a very low absorption coefficient.
