Alphabet of light is a language of light to communicate freedom. It is an elementary principle that creates an open system. Starting with an abacus of basic geometric elements, BIG designs a new font that expresses itself in light - an alphabet with which thoughts are described and expressed, a tool for modeling spaces. It enables light to be drawn in space using both words and graphic symbols. Two linear elements of different lengths and two circular disks run parallel to the system of letters, numbers and symbols. The circular element is available in two diameters and is divided into modules that allow the linear elements to be combined according to different angles, drawing different geometries from time to time. These simple basic modules of precise geometric proportions can be combined with each other to create infinite simple or more complex, linear or curvilinear light structures, defining suspended structures that enter the space and follow the architecture and functionality of the rooms. The concept of BIG is combined with Artemide's optoelectronic expertise to define an innovative construction principle and to reproduce a continuous and comfortable light. This minimal presence encloses a very high optoelectronic and mechanically patented innovation.
