In the Lowback version, the Bascule armchair has a compact appearance while offering outstanding comfort. Bascule combines the cozy look of a loose fabric cover with an innovative mechanism that allows for a wide range of motion, from an upright to an almost horizontal position. Studio OE has designed an upholstery using tailoring techniques from the fashion world—techniques designed for freedom of movement—that drapes over the frame like a jacket. The cover is removable, and all components of Bascule can be repaired or replaced as needed. Bascule is available with two different bases and in both high-back and low-back versions. The Ottoman and Bench are available as footrests.
