The 'Wishbone Chair' is one of the most iconic and celebrated designs by Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. A light-looking, beautiful and above all comfortable chair with the characteristic ypsilon in the backrest.
The very first model of the CH24 chair, which Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1949, has been in continuous production since its launch in 1950. The deep and complex colors are inspired by the raw beauty of the Nordic landscape.
Its simple design and clean lines make the chair a prime example of the highest craftsmanship. The restrained appearance belies the fact that 100 individual steps are required to produce the chair. The hand-woven seat alone is made from 120 meters of paper cord. The frame and backrest, on the other hand, are made from natural wood.
A piece of furniture that is bursting with Nordic design flair. And which color do you like best?
