Wo, Wo, Wo? Wohlen!

At Mooris, we normally furnish houses that people already live in - this time it was different. Our task: to design a recently built semi-detached house so that it feels like a home at first glance. It's called staging - and we call it styling with soul. 💛

Because one thing is clear: an empty house often remains pale. Furniture, lighting, accessories - they all tell stories and let rooms speak for themselves. And that's exactly what we wanted to achieve: to create a stage for dream homes, for the future owners, who should fall in love right away on their first tour.

And since we at Mooris also have our newsletter and the Instagram and Tiktok accounts, with which we want to delight and inspire you every day, we also use the staging to produce great pictures and content for it.

So first we went to our Mooris treasures: What fits? What sets the mood? What goes well with the patio, light and sense of space? We dug deep into our stash - and found lots of favorite pieces for indoors and outdoors. The most beautiful garments and color-coordinated looks were carefully selected in the dressing room and from our favorite labels, ironed and packed ready for transport. 🌿🛋️

The first big delivery arrived on Friday - thank you @leamontini.ch & @planzer for your commitment in what felt like 35 degrees! 😅 On Monday we continued with the finishing touches - and of course with a stylish shoot, during which @mariyamarinova accompanied us on film.

To be honest, our first reaction was... let's say cautious. 😅 But we were proved wrong. The drive from Zurich was short - and Wohlen welcomed us with open arms.

First stop: @onnaladen by @alekwisniewska. What a concept store! Fashion, home accessories, colors, fragrances - everything curated with so much love that we were immediately hooked. Alexandra is a power woman with style and heart, and takes us straight to the next gem...

Right next to her concept store, Aleksandra shows us a beautiful old pharmacy that is no longer a pharmacy. The @apero_theke is now a bar with a vintage vibe and great living room flair that can be rented. Perfect for events or a cozy after-work drink.

The aperitif bar is not only eerily cozy, but also offers some great outdoor space for dreaming and lingering.

Then a short excursion to the Straw Museum and to Villa Isler - a place with history that tells the story of how Wohlen was once world-famous for straw hats as "Chly Paris"! 🌾✨
The museum's huge park garden is a place of tranquillity that we would like to recommend to you almost as much as the exciting museum.

At the end of the small but nice city tour before our staging: a sundowner in the alternative and very creative Sommerbar am Jacob-Isler-Areal. This is where culture, drinks and a good atmosphere meet from 17h onwards.

Honestly: Wohlen, we are fans.

After the mini city tour, we headed back to the house. We really like the spacious entrance of the house - which, by the way, is affectionately called the penthouse by its architect - and it's perfect for our first snapshots!

Kitchen covered, terrace styled, bedroom with feel-good factor.

What was previously empty is now a home with character. We call this: design with feeling.

What I particularly like is that we always take time for something unusual. After all, content thrives on ideas and sometimes a little craziness!
This time, Mariya had the idea of staging our favorite products such as the Panthella or the tiger rug from Sula for a reel in the fridge.
True to the motto: no space and money for food 😆

Even though we had a hot and humid day for our staging, the penthouse in Wohlen allowed us to take a deep breath despite the heat and a lot of work.
The magnificent terrace with its far-reaching views, the high rooms with the large windows - the clean and fresh look of the kitchen and bathroom - all this creates a feeling of freedom as well as a pleasant homeliness.

After four intense hours, lots of changing in front of the airy dressing room (and a short lunch break on our favorite sofa Anagram by Vitra😅), it was time to pack up, say goodbye, head back to Zurich - and review the day again
