For me, light is so much more than just brightness: light is life. The perfect light illuminates a home - or creates a pleasant atmosphere and a homely feeling. Light allows us to work quickly, or simply to feel good.
The new lights are a feast for the eyes even without electricity - and many of them accompany us wirelessly and reliably through our everyday lives.
> Whether retro, sculptural or artistic, made of paper or in shiny chrome - they all ensure that our four walls become a home.
I have put together the most beautiful and important favorite lighting trends for you - let yourself be inspired and make yourself and your home happy with light
There's no getting around retro lights at the moment. We love them because they not only add a cool groove to our four walls, but also provide plenty of atmospheric light. They are usually made of high-quality plastic that comes in the most beautiful colors. The lights usually have a 70s appeal, but there are also many models that are reminiscent of the 60s and the Bauhaus style.
Particularly beautiful are the lights whose materiality shines beautifully, because this makes for an eye-catcher in the room, even when the light is switched off
Lights with a special surface also caught my eye. The latter is beautifully artfully draped or pleated, straight or curved. Here, too, there are models made of high-quality plastic, e.g. from Ferm Living or Creme Atelier - but many of the great light sources are also traditionally made of very durable, robust paper.
> These lights look best in purist white - then the exciting surface really comes into its own.
When times are gloomy, it's not just brightness and color that help, but also a lot of glitz and glamour. Chrome is making a huge comeback - and in addition to glamor, it also provides coolness and sets great accents in an interior. The chrome lights look particularly great with contrasting materials and surroundings - such as natural wool, soft velvet and textured wood. In combination with concrete, the cool urbanity of the material is further enhanced and looks great.
Another HUGE trend? Lights are becoming objects of art! Sculptural or very imaginative in shape, loud in color - or both together!
> Colorful, hand-blown Murano glass shimmers particularly beautifully in all shades.
I particularly like this with color gradients like Christina Z Antonio, the Italian label Bocci also has really great models. The Straw Lamps floor lamps by Julie Lansom, reminiscent of an oversized, colorful straw, are also wonderful. You can find the picture on the blog overview.
But graphic, geometric light sculptures for hanging, such as those from Lambert & Filsalso bring a lot of design atmosphere into the home.
For a slightly smaller budget, there are also great little lights with do-it-yourself appeal that artfully bring light into a room. For example, those that are based on a simple light bulb with a trendy, colorful ceramic base - and above all work super well as objects in a variety of ways.
The most important lighting trend for 2025: warm light
My conclusion and the most important lighting trend for 2025 from my point of view? *The warm Light. *Because not only the iconic retro luminaires, but also all the other trend favorites have one thing in common: they provide wonderfully warm, atmospheric light. Gone are the days of clinical illumination, cool neon light and (over)powerful LED lighting. We may still want them specifically for work - but only the warm, soft light of 2025 will provide a great feeling at home.
The smart, rich light is also dimmable and very often portable, which suits our busy lives.
Happy lightining and lots of light magic 💡✨
