A refuge in an imposing mountain world
Welcome to the Kerenzer15! Anja and Sandro Bäbler have created a small, fine mountain retreat for themselves and for guests from all over the world in the secluded Glarnerland near Mollis. A place that is waiting to be discovered!
> At the Kerenzer15 you immediately feel at home and at home.
As soon as you enter the small boutique apartment on the upper floor of the couple's house at Kerenzerstrasse 15, which gave the bijou its name, it becomes clear: Here you can feel at home. Although the studio is close to the street, its front-facing hillside location means it is still in a quiet location.
A nonchalant naturalness and many loving details testify to the fact that absolute living and travel professionals were at work here. The impression is not deceptive, because Anja and Sandro have learned what it takes to feel at home in a place through their many years of working for major photo productions abroad.
Simple, but simply really beautiful
With its compact living space, the temporary home is designed in a purist style, but with a great sense of living. Furniture classics such as the iconic Eames fiberglass chairs, the atmospheric lamp by Louis Poulsen meet a sturdy vintage sofa and plenty of light, Nordic living with light wood and lots of white.
Here you come to rest
Bäblers' penchant for naturalness and high-quality materials is very much in evidence in the apartment. The bed linen in the spacious resting place is made from the finest linen, the blanket from rustic wool and the furniture from fair and good woods, leather and other sustainably beautiful materials.
This consistency gives the room a sense of calm and value and ensures that everything remains beautiful for a long time.
The Kerenzer15 is not a hotel - but as a guest you still feel like a king. The wonderful Vipp kitchen allows for really good cooking, which also guarantees a real home-from-home feeling.
A great selection of wine, crémant, beer and sparkling water, as well as small snacks are also available to enjoy. So the temporary residents don't have to keep running out of the house when they feel like something. All these products are selected from close proximity and with a lot of taste - typical Bäblers.
Lovely details with a lot of emotional value
Particularly beautiful: the tiny goodies that are just waiting to be discovered in the temporary boutique home.
A mini-kiosk with important, hand-written items for a successful stay is presented super charmingly in a design classic from Vitra. There's even a Game Boy and a typical Glarus Nicki handkerchief to discover.
> A wonderful way to serve your roommates perfectly for a while.
But it's not just the wonderful interior that makes for an unforgettable stay in Glarus, but also the fantastic outdoor space on offer here. The outdoor life is really important here and, in addition to the unique terrace with its comfortable garden furniture, guests also have two other outdoor spaces at their free disposal.
The mountains are imposing and grounding without being too intrusive, as I had feared before my visit to the 'Zigerschlitz'. Everything feels open and ensures that you can come to rest and 'dureschnuufe' here. The studio's terrace is a wonderful place, where I discover my favorite deck chair from Embru, as well as a great view.
The Kerenzer15 broadens the horizon
- Conclusion: The Kerenzer15 is different. A place to discover, to be, and to enjoy. It's definitely worth getting to know the mountain world of Mollis and the creative owners of this little apartment dream. Because contrary to all preconceptions, your horizon is broadened here and your senses are sharpened. All my love, your Mooris.
