Richi Kägi kann kochen, kein Zweifel. Seine leidenschaftliche Art Feines zuzubereiten, zeigt sich auch in seiner Einrichtung. Ebenso wie er beim Essen mit den geschmackvollsten Zutaten seine Gerichte zubereitet, so richtet er auch seine Wohnung mit den geschmackvollsten Möbeln ein. Mit diesen Möbel-Zutaten, die er mit ganz viel Persönlichkeit, Leben und Leidenschaft würzt wird aus seiner Wohnung keine sterile Galerie der Klassiker, sondern ein geschmackvollstes, gemütliches Zuhause mit Herz.

Only the most beautiful classics make it into the home of Foodscout Richard Kägi *. The *Eames Side Chair by Vitra with the iconic fiberglass seat shell is of course a must. And I particularly like its warm yellow color and the four-legged tubular steel base.
An eye-catcher in any room and, of course, a design classic in furniture history - not only beautiful to look at, but also designed by one of the most famous designer couples of the 20th century - Charles and Ray Eames. A duo that is as much a part of design history as Richi is a part of the Swiss food scene...
Jäger und Sammler
Foodscout Richi ist ebenso Suchender wie Jäger und Sammler. Seine Leidenschaft für Geschmack treibt ihn an, auf der ganzen Welt Neues zu entdecken. Oder längst Vergessenes nach Hause zu bringen und in seiner ganz persönlichen Kombi wiederaufleben zu lassen.
Nebst seinem eigenen Kochbuch Kägi kocht stapeln sich die spannendsten Bücher, Dokumentationen und Schriften in seiner Bibliothek und geben seinem Zuhause nicht nur ganz viel Intellekt, sondern auch viel Tiefe, Persönlichkeit und Geschichte.
The high rooms of the cubist building on the Zürichberg by Richard Kägi give the Diheim a lot of depth, zen and calm - and despite its size, it feels cozy and homely. Its furnishings are an eclectic mix of design icons, modern items, antique heirlooms and ethnic pieces - a mix in which not only his cat Alfred seems to feel right at home. .
The fact that Richi travels to South Africa a lot and often can also be felt in his spacious four walls. A giraffe towers over the bedroom, an unusually eclectic carpet adorns the living room floor and African fauna creates a savanna feel. But here, too, it's all about the dosage - because as subtly as Richi uses ethnic influences in his interior, they give a home personality and vibrancy while remaining super stylish.
Überraschend gemütlich 🤎
Richi ist ein Meister der Überraschung. Bei ihm ist nichts vorhersehbar – alles wirkt spontan und mit Herzblut kombiniert. Da ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass bei ihm ein Sessel nicht immer auf dem Boden stehen muss!
Sehr gerne zieht er sich in seinen Hängesessel Egg Chair zurück, der mit seinem Rattangeflecht perfekt in seine Design-Savanne passt.
