The interior design of the new Herzpraxis Horgen by Heartbase

In collaboration with Mooris.ch, we were able to implement a special interior project for the newly opened cardiac practice Horgen by Heartbase. A charming old building, which was completely gutted, was transformed into a bright, modern practice that appeals not only to patients' hearts, but also to the eye. It was a particular pleasure to be involved in this project - not only because of my professional passion for interior design, but also because Franziska Schober, the head of the practice, is a close friend. Together we have created a practice that combines medical expertise with an inviting, stylish ambience.

An old building shines in new splendor

The project began with a clear goal: to transform the old building into a modern, friendly space that reflects the high standards of medical care. The complete gutting of the old building allowed us to rethink the space. Large windows now allow plenty of light into the practice and create an atmosphere that is open and calming. This brightness is supported by the material and color concept, which is coordinated with the modern look of the Heartbase.

The design of the rooms is strongly based on Heartbase's corporate identity (CI). The colors used in the practice rooms and furniture reflect the clarity and precision that also characterize the medical work of Franziska and her team. Light shades of grey and white, combined with clear blues and greens, characterize the image of the practice and create a calming environment for patients. This color palette runs like a red thread through the entire interior and can be found in the wall colors as well as in the furniture and decorations.

The materials were carefully chosen to achieve a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. High-quality wooden surfaces provide warmth and naturalness, while modern textiles and subtle metallic accents give the design a contemporary, elegant look. I am particularly proud of the bespoke furniture we selected for the practice - it combines comfort with style and fits perfectly into the modern concept.

A place to feel good

The requirement to design a practice that is both functional and aesthetic was a wonderful challenge. The waiting area, the treatment rooms and also the offices radiate an inviting calm - an important aspect for a heart practice where trust and well-being are central. With the furniture and accessories that we at Mooris.ch carefully selected, we were able to support this atmosphere and offer patients a space that conveys a sense of security and safety.

Conclusion: An affair of the heart
Conclusion: An affair of the heart

For me personally, this project was an absolute affair of the heart. Working with Franziska and her team was a great experience that showed how important interior design is for well-being - especially in a medical environment. Special thanks go to Katja Grünefelder and Franziska Schober for their trust in our work and the opportunity to design this wonderful place together.

We are proud of the result and are delighted that the new practice in Horgen has now opened its doors - a place that has been designed with a lot of heart to help others.
