The Scandinavian label Hay is more than just a manufacturer of beautiful furniture and accessories or a guarantor of stylish objects of love - Hay is a way of life. The Danes, together with up-and-coming designers, manage to create beautifully practical and accessible products with cult character and have-to-have status like no other - even my home office is HAY-infected, my old Rolkor body has been replaced with a cool Crate box trolley. And my plants now bloom in the same boxes, which are sustainable and elegant despite being made of plastic.
The new creations in collaboration with international designers get to the heart of our needs in terms of living and lifestyle - and once again showcase Danish design at its very best. Here are my personal favorites for autumn interiors.
I have fallen madly in love with the new version of a quilted cult sofa from the Danes. As the name suggests, the Quilton Lift raises the comfortable and very iconic quilted relaxation oasis to new heights. The Sofa as well as the Daybed and the Ottoman have the same quilted shapes and generous proportions as the rest of the Quilton family. However, with their chic wooden legs they stand out elegantly from the floor, creating a lighter expression. The first sofa for me that also works higher up and is even more attractive! The new seating family owes its incredible seating comfort to the large volume of the high-quality upholstery. With its design, the sofa reaches a whole new level of versatility in my eyes and fits wonderfully into almost any living room.
I would particularly like to recommend the new Facet Cabinet to you. It was created by Dutch designer Stefan Scholten. A super versatile piece of furniture that helps me to keep my home tidy. As a multifunctional storage solution and keeper of order, it is also really beautiful with its faceted surface. The purist design is particularly attractive thanks to the faceted finish. The integrated revolving door and the additional castors ensure that the clever container can be adjusted to its surroundings at different heights. I particularly appreciate this clever piece of furniture in the bathroom or in my studio. I love the little helper especially in this great spinach green or in egg shell - but that is always a matter of personal taste.
My third favorite of the news from Hay: the Color Rack. The clothes rail or coat rack immediately caught my eye during my last visit to the Hay showroom. Its unusual shape, lightness and great colors! It looks modern, new and lively. Designed by none other than uber-designer duo Muller von Severen, by the way. The combination of Muller Van Severen's innate sense of color with well-proportioned shapes makes the organizer an elegant and functional alternative to your wardrobe that can also be used creatively as a room divider or as a statement piece in many different settings. The designer's fascination with sculptural furniture and the space it occupies is once again clearly evident in this collaboration with HAY. Personally, I particularly like the version with the S-shaped design - but it is also available in a slightly more space-saving U-shape.
Conclusion: A lot of beautiful and new things are coming this fall from HAY. And soon there will also be wonderful accessories from the Danes, which I will certainly be introducing to you very soon.
Until then, happy living,
your Mooris.
