Why is the cult chair called the X-Line Chair? Why is the cult chair called the X-Line Chair? Why is the cult chair called the X-Line Chair?

Why is the reissued retro classic for sitting actually called the X-Line Chair? And what makes the chair so special?

> The precisely thought-out X-construction, which not only gives it its iconic look, but also ensures flexibility and stability.

The fine metal struts are a perfect example of the high-tech design style of the 70s. This clearly focuses on reduction and efficiency - and on visual lightness.

Available in carefully curated colors and with a stackable design, the re-edition of the X-Line Chair is as relevant today as it was then - a design piece with a history and a future.

What's so special about this chair, which is as steeped in history as it is forward-looking? It can't be pigeonholed! It is available in one version for indoors and two for outdoors**. In all versions, it is made of filigree metal wire and a sturdy steel construction with powder coating and/or chrome plating in the spirit of the high-tech movement of the 1970s. The even rustier of the two outdoor versions also has a hot-dip galvanized finish.

> Personally, I think the indoor chair is particularly great when mixed with other chairs. It looks great on its own, has the character of an object and contrasts wonderfully with other chairs and stools of any material; I only like it combined with its peers for the garden or balcony - and here especially in the powder-coated leek green version.

On its own as an object** in a hallway, bedroom or kitchen, it looks particularly strong in its chrome-plated version.

The chair is also highly recommended thanks to its stackability - because this not only makes it ideal for stacking on a terrace or urban city balcony, but also as a cool chair for smaller events and locations.

> And honestly, which chair looks as beautiful as an art installation when stacked, if not the X-Line Chair?

When great chairs shine in the sunlight at the crack of dawn in Zurich's Binz and vie for the attention of passers-by, it's Moori's guerrilla campaign with HAY!
So we're pretty proud that we were able to stage this iconic chair together with Hay. And in a wonderfully nonchalant way! We simply set up the great chairs in all their variations in the middle of the morning rush to work at Binz in Zurich** without any great system behind it - and observed the reactions of passers-by a little.

Clap your hands for the X-Line Chair 👏🏼 🪑

> Above all, however, we wanted to publicize the great chair in an unusual way - and thus bring it a little closer to people in everyday life

The X-Line Mood is contagious🪑 💃

But before passers-by are invited to a spontaneous pasta lunch**, there's a lot to do. Incidentally, the pasta feast comes from the well-known Paninoteca da Antonietta, also located on Hallwylerplatz.

> Together with the hard-working team from Hay, we transform Hallwylerplatz into a charming little temporary restaurant.

The main player X-Line Chair is presented in the right light, the serving apron is put on, the fine bistro table is laid and fine bouquets of flowers are draped.

> Everything should be perfect for the spontaneous lunch guests...
